ISO9001:2000 Accreditation

 

Paul Renehan Quality Manager for Pratt Burnerd International and Crawford collets was pleased to announce that the business passed its first audit in early April and was accredited by BSI to ISO9001:2000. Commenting the basics were all in place to achieve the standard, but with the help of BSI we were able to fast track our accreditation, we still have plenty to do and this is just the beginning of our quality journey.
 
The 6 month implementation program was always going to be a challenging project for the company, but the willingness of the people to work within the new structures is all part of creating a more customer focussed business, commented David Tucker Managing Director.
 
Alan Jenkin the sales office manager who worked with over 70 customers to gain customer feedback information to help set targets for our customer satisfaction indicating that the data gathered was fundamental to changing how we deal with our customers and gives real data upon which to make business and operational changes. The process will be on going to benchmark our performance and it is refreshing to feel the Total Quality element we are trying to bring to the business. The business object is simple and covered by the statement “Promote a quality-in-all-we-do philosophy with total company effort and commitment to continuous improvement and customer satisfaction”
